November 2022 – Your Story is Already in a Book!

Your Story is Already in a Book!

From the first time I saw it on a sign, I’ve always gotten a smile from the saying, “Careful, or you’ll end up in my novel.”

But did you know that your whole story really is already written in someone’s book?

“Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything about me.” – Psalm 139:16 (CEV)

I believe God has a specific and encouraging word for you today, as part of your story.

I believe he is saying to each of us, I am coming with compassion for the one. I want all of my sheep. I want them cared for. Be my hands and feet. Wherever you see the one, show compassion. Sometimes this is with a word. Each morning, look to me and ask me to guide you to one I am coming to meet with my compassion and mercy.

You may also be the one to whom God is coming with compassion.

And I believe this is God’s message for you:

I have known you and seen you since before you were born. I could never forget you. You have a place, and that place is in my heart.

When you don’t know which way to turn, or you are caught instead of free, look up to my face. My face is turned toward you, to love you.

When you see the look of love for you in my eyes, your heart will leap. If you had forgotten joy, you will feel it in my gaze upon you. You are my beloved one. You are precious to me.

I am coming to you, to bandage your wounds and to heal you. To gather you in my strong embrace. I am coming for you in strength and tenderness, with laughter and love for you that is fierce to surround you and protect you.

The story of your days is in my book. I have good plans for you.

Writing Update: “How to Journal with God”

I’m excited about how this new book I’m working on will help people move into greater intimacy with God.

The desire of God to be part of the lives of his people is not an abstract concept. And as we open ourselves to God through journaling, some really amazing things can happen!

Watch for book updates here in the monthly email.
Parting Words

This week, I was reading an email from a reader who talked about how the first book in my Valley of Artisans fiction series, Remembering, really spoke to her, and how it seemed God had begun to stir in her own life in a similar way to that of the book’s main character.

It occurs to me that God’s compassion for each individual is a key theme in the Valley of Artisans series–just as it is in real life. God really is a good shepherd who is focused on each one of his sheep.

As you read any of my books this season, whether fiction or nonfiction, I pray that you will be uplifted and encouraged by the God who loves you.

If you would like prayer for anything, please send me an email.

To your freedom, health, and wholeness,
AmyLu
