| My faith was challenged when, a few years ago via social media, a family called on other believers in Christ to pray for the resurrection of their loved one. I remember feeling deeply confronted by their faith: They actually believed this resurrection could happen—and that it was God’s will. But what did the Bible have to say about it? Quite a bit, as it turns out. As I read Scripture and journaled with God, I found him doing something in me. It was as if lights were coming on in an unused room inside, and God was working in there. I continued to pray and listen, and God led me, stretching and refining my faith in ways I didn’t even know I needed. I later wove that experience into my fiction book Ordinary Miracles. |
