My soul, praise Yahweh,
and all that is within me, praise His holy name.
My soul, praise the Lord,
and do not forget all His benefits.
He forgives all your sin;
He heals all your diseases.
He redeems your life from the Pit;
He crowns you with faithful love and compassion.
He satisfies you with goodness;
your youth is renewed like the eagle.
Psalm 103:1-5 (HCSB)
From my new book, Faith with Wings:
“… there are over 197 million unhealed people in America alone. That’s 60 percent of the U.S. population. Globally, one in every three adults has more than one chronic health condition–that’s more than 2.5 billion people. And now I had the very strong realization that it’s really not supposed to be this way. The church is supposed to be cooperating with God to heal many of those people.
The sick are being oppressed by the devil in the form of all kinds of disease and sickness–and those who believe in Jesus are supposed to be breaking the chains of their oppression. (See Isaiah 58:6; 61:1; Luke 4:18-21; 6:9; 13:10-16; Acts 10:38.)
… the church has been given Christ’s ministry of healing in order to destroy the work of the devil in the area of health.
… Now that I knew that I, as a follower of Christ, was always intended to have that authority, I meant to reclaim what the Enemy had cruelly managed to keep hidden from me for too long.”
