Keeping Our Eyes on Jesus

I decided that while I was with you, I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. - 1 Corinthians 2:2 (NLT)

“I decided that while I was with you, I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.” – Paul (1 Cor. 2:2, NLT)

Me, too, Paul. Me, too.

I want to keep my life focused on God’s kingdom.

Paul taught laying aside the weight of distractions:

“… Since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down…. Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, … who initiates and perfects our faith.” – Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT)

I was born for something. I want to keep that thing the main thing.

You were born for something.

Let us run with endurance—and focus—the race set before us.
