“So there was great joy in that city.” – Acts 8:8 (NLT)
What does *so* refer to? Where did the great joy come from?
Acts 8:5-7 reveals the source:
- Being told about the Messiah—hearing the message and seeing miraculous signs
- Evil spirits being cast out
- Paralysis and lameness being healed
God’s kingdom was demonstrated with power—bringing salvation, deliverance, and healing.
And that brought joy.
It still does.
This is the good news of Jesus.
