Mary’s words to the servants in John 2:5 opened the way to a miracle then, and they will now.
“Whatever He tells you, do it.”
As I was out walking one day, it came to me that Mary’s words to the servants (in John 2:5) were a most excellent sermon.
Those words opened the way to a miracle then, and they will now:
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He tells you, do it.”
Perhaps that even opened the way to a life of miracles.
That kind of faith and trust—in the context of love for God, and compassion for the one in need, as Mary also demonstrated—may well have opened the way for a life of miracles to begin.
Now What?
“Whatever Jesus tells you, do it.”
It is still a most excellent sermon.
May our intimacy with Christ—and our obedience to his words—open the way to all that Jesus wants to do next.
